- Description
- This is a synopsis only. The Request For Proposal will be posted approximately 30 Mar 2005. A Requirements type contract will be established for two types of wheel mounted, single-pass air conditioners, with not less than 110 tons nominal cooling capacity. One type will be diesel engine driven (DAC 110) and the second type will be electric motor driven (EAC 110). The types will selectively operate as an air conditioning unit, a ventilation unit, or a heating unit, deliver not less than 600 pounds per minute of conditioned air, discharge conditioned air through three 12-inch diameter flexible supply air ducts, and be fully supportable with MIL-SPEC manuals and provisioning. The part number for the DAC 110 will be IAW CID A-A-59506. The part number for the EAC 110 will be IAW CID A-A-59501. Required data for both types will be IAW DD1423s. The basic quantity for the DAC 110 will be a Best Estimated Quantity (BEQ) of 45 EA, and 4 one-year ordering periods of BEQ 10 EA. The basic quantity for the EAC 110 will be a BEQ of 5 EA, and 4 ordering periods of BEQ 5 EA. This will be a competitive acquisition using Technically Acceptable – Price Performance Tradeoff Procedures (TA-PPT).
