Description
WR-ALC will award firm fixed price requirement contract to include basic and four one year option periods for the Basic Expeditionary Airfield Resources (BEAR) 130K Heater (NSN: 4520-01-521-2076EJ, P/N PD05WRLEEG04). This acquisition will be fully competitive using Technically Acceptable - Past Performance Tradeoff techniques and based upon Purchase Description PD05WRLEEG04 (PD), dtd 25 Mar 2005. Purchase Description will be available and attached to Request For Proposal (RFP) when RFP is uploaded to FedBizOps (FBO). CBD NOTES: The heater shall be capable of delivering 130,000 British Thermal Units per hour. The heater shall be used for heating personnel working and sleeping quarters. The heater must be efficient and be able to provide the required heat output while remaining safe and extremely reliable. The heater design will be such that it is installed outside the shelter. The 130K BTU Heater specifications are contained in the 130K BTU Heater Purchase Description dated 25 Mar 2005. Best estimated quantities: Basic Year 1618 ea, Option Year I ? 1617 ea, Option Year II ? 1617 ea, Option Year III ? 1617 ea, and Option Year IV ? 1617 ea. Pre-production testing/approval will be required. Government Required Delivery after approval of pre-production: 180 days after approval of pre-production test or receipt of order, whichever is later, with 50 units first 2 months, 150 units next 9 months, 175 units next 12 months, and 200 units per month thereafter. Request for Proposal, with attachments, will be provided via FBO on or before 7 Jul 2005.
