- The Federal Bureau of Investigation, (FBI), intends to negotiate a one time, sole source, fixed price contract with Wulfsberg Electronics, 6400 Wilkerson Drive, Prescott, AZ, under Request for Quote (RFQ)E001398, for the purchase of 2, RT-5000 Transceivers and 20, P-2000 Dual Transceivers. This notice will be distributed solely through the General Service Administrations Federal Business Opportunity (FBO)website, www.fedbizopps.gov. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302. FBO Destination is the FBI Engineering Research Facility, Quantico, VA. Based on market research conducted, it has been determined that the FBIs requirements for the RT-5000 Transceivers and P-2000 Dual Transceivers can only be provided by Wulfsberg Electronics: they are the only company that provides the capability to support all channel frequencies from 29.7 to 960 Mhz, including APCO compliant, digital frequency agile system, analog, trunking and AES and DES encryption standards for search and rescue for military applications. Interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement or submit proposals to this office by 2:00 pm EST, by August 16, 2005, by facsimile, to the attention of Margaret D. Einspahr, Contracting Officer, at (703) 632-1844. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive proposal procurement. Telephone requests will not be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The North American Industrial Classification System code is 336413, the size standard is 1,000 employees. This contract will be awarded as a commercial item in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations, Part 12.
