- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) webpage located at http://www.eps/gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at http://neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitation to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, intends to purchase specialized test equipment on a sole source basis from Fischer Custom Communications, Inc., 20603 Earl Street, Torrance, CA 90503-3008. The items being purchased are as follows: CLIN 0001: Clamp-On Injection Probe Small Size Pulser Couplers (Internal Diameter 3 inches/Dimension A), (External Diameter 4.5 inches/Dimension B), (Thickness 4 inches/Dimension C) P/N F-050719-1008-1, Quantity: 3 EACH; CLIN 0002: Coupler Cables (2 M! Hz), Quantity: 6 EACH; CLIN 0003: Standard Current Probes P/N F-33-2, Quantity: 12 EACH; CLIN 0004: High Sensitivity Current Probes P/N F-33-1, Quantity: 6 EACH; CLIN 0005: Large Diameter (2.8 inches) Current Probes P/N F-75, Quantity: 6 EACH; CLIN 0006: X-Large Diameter (5 inches) Current Probes P/N F-80-1, Quantity: 2 EACH. A sole source procurement is necessary because the specialized test equipment is used in Pulse Current Injection (PCI) testing onboard ships with a Nuclear Electromagnetic Pulse (NEMP). All items to be purchased are either custom-made equipment or equipment already in use. To ensure equipment compatibility and interoperability, items must be procured from Fischer Custom Communications. This acquisition will be a Firm Fixed Price contract. Award will be made under simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13 on an all or none basis. Required delivery date is 6 months after award of order. Items are to be priced FOB DestinationDahlgren, Virginia, therefore quotes must include all applicable shipping charges. THE GOVERNMENT SHALL NOT ISSUE A WRITTEN REQUEST FOR QUOTATION AS ALL ITEMS ARE IDENTIFED IN THIS NOTICE. The closing date for this announcement is 12 August 2005.
