- The U.S. Geological Survey, Menlo Park, CA intends to make a sole source award to WesternGeco, 3600 Briarpark Dr, Houston Texas, 77042-5275, for the acquisition of marine seismic reflection profile data offshore the Western United States. The USGS has the unique opportunity to purchase these data, acquired over the last 30 years by WesternGeco, for the cost of conversion to modern media. The data was collected by WesternGeco and are the sole property of that company. Government's required delivery: 03/01/2006 and 09/30/2006. This notice is for informational purposes only. This is not a request for competitive quotes. Interested vendors may identify their interest and capability to respond within 10 days of this announcement. All responses must be in writing by facsimile to the Contracting Officer at (916) 278-9339 or email vfriesner@usgs.gov. A determination not to continue with this acquisition based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition.
