Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Fayetteville, NC has an immediate need for the services of one (1) board certified/board eligible gastroenterologist to provide on site services in the Surgery Department. The contract period will be established as date of award to September 28, 2005 with no option to extendCoverage is required one day per week on Wednesdays for 8 hours. The physician will be required to provide on site and telephone consultations for patients requiring gastroenterology services as referred by their Primary Care physicians. Procedural services may include colonoscopies, EGD, Flexible Sigmoidoscopy, as well as others deemed necessary by the Chief of Staff or designee. As part of care provided, contract physician is requested to prescribe for drugs on the formulary list of the Fayetteville VA facility whenever clinically appropriate. This procurement is unrestricted under the size standard for North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 561320/$11.5 Million. Offerors are reminded to complete all sections of the solicitation, including the Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items. It is the VA?s intention to solicit proposals and award contract (s) under the authority of Title 38 U.S.C. Section 8153 and pending availability of funds.
