Description

Williamson River Campground Reconstruction Chiloquin Ranger District Description of Work Work consists of (1) construction and development of a twenty-unit camping facility and potable water distribution system, (2) reconstruction of exiting roads and parking areas designated to remain, and (3) restoration of the abandoned campground sites to a natural setting. Major items of work include: a. Road Construction/Reconstruction, aggregate-surfaced: 0.8 Miles b. Campsite Construction: 20 Sites, including host site w/ utilities c. Trail Construction, aggregate-surfaced: 0.7 Miles d. Primary/Secondary Electrical Service (trenched): 2300 Lineal Feet e. Water Distribution System: Well-drilling and development: 200 Ft. estimated depth, drilled and cased Well controls, meters, and piping Waterline, trenched: 2200 Lineal Feet Valves, valve boxes, hydrants f. Waste-Water Utilities: 1000-gallon septic holding tank (host site) Waste-water sumps g. Structures: 8? x 12? Pumphouse and utilities: 1 Each Vault toilet: 2 Each Fenceline: 220 Lineal Feet h. Restoration of Abandoned Campground: Obliteration of Roads and Campsites: 1500 lineal feet roadway and 9 sites Existing Well: abandon per O.R.S., remove and salvage handpump Vault Toilet: remove and salvage Concrete wellpads and spring box: remove and dispose Picnic Tables and Fire-rings: remove and salvage Posts/Barriers: remove and salvage serviceable materials Schedule work to maintain operation of the existing campground during recreation periods until the new campground is completed. Work may also be affected by seasonal wildlife restrictions. Perform all work in accordance with State of Oregon and Federal statutes/regulations, and contract specifications. This will be a Hubzone set-aside. The expected range of the job is between $250,000 and $500,000. The solicitation will be a Request for Proposal. Expected issue date is August 11, 2005 and expected open date is September 9, 2005. Bob Gibbs is presently serving as the Contracting Officer for this project.
