- Description
- The U.S. Army, TACOM, on behalf of the Office of PM Soldier Weapons, has interest in procuring a Low Profile Bipod to be included as a component of a Close Quarters Battle (CQB) Kit. A Bid Sample of 15 is to be submitted along with a technical proposal, at no cost to the Government. An initial base quantity of 50 Low Profile Bipods will be procured, to be delivered within 30 days of contract award. Four (4) options are planned with ranges from a minimum quantity of 4,000 each to a maximum quantity of 10,000 each per option. The Low Profile Bipod attaches to the M16 rifle/M4 carbine and provides the Soldier with a stable platform for rooftop perches. Additionally, the bipod provides for an essential grip during CQB. The item is envisioned to be a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) non- Developmental item (NDI). The item must currently be in production at the contractor’s site, developmental items are neither permitted nor desired. The item shall be a Bench Rest Swivel Series (manufactured by Harris Bipods, Model # BR-S) or equivalent. The item must have adjustable legs (from 6” to 9”), quick detach capability, as well as the capability to rotate to either side for leveling on uneven ground. Additionally, the item must not interfere with the use or function of the host weapon. The contractor must be able to sustain a delivery schedule of 833 bipods per month. See Note 1.
