This is modification 1 to the synopsis entitled "Center Operations Support Services (COSS) follow-on," Solicitation No. NNJ05122616L, which was posted on August 2, 2005. You are notified of the following: 1) "Industry Day" announcement; 2) updates and corrections to the COSS follow-on website; and 3) correct period of performance date for the basic year on the current contract, which was identified under "CURRENT CONTRACT FEATURES" on the synopsis dated August 2, 2005. 1) INDUSTRY DAY ANNOUNCEMENT: The COSS follow-on presents "Industry Day" to be held on Friday, August 26, 2005, from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., Central Standard Time (CST), at the Gilruth Recreational Center, Alamo Ballroom, on-site at NASA Johnson Space Center, Houston, TX. Goals of Industry Day: a. Promote competition on the proposed Center Operations Support Services (COSS) follow-on acquisition strategy. b. Develop Industry understanding of the current COSS Contract requirement. c. Allow NASA JSC to utilize Industry input to improve the COSS follow-on acquisition strategy. Sign-Up Requirements: Interested parties are requested to RSVP no later than 4:30 p.m., CST, Wednesday, August 24, 2005 by e-mail to the Contracting Officer, Kelly R. Wilcutt at: cossseb@ems.jsc.nasa.gov Interested parties are limited to four attendees per company. The RSVP should include the following information: a) Please use the following subject line: ?COSS Industry Day RSVP? b) Include the Point of Contact?s name, phone number, and company c) Include the names of all the attendees from your respective company Questions and Answers for Industry Day: "Industry Day" will focus on the current COSS Contract (NAS 9-01056) requirements. Absolutely NO discussion(s) of the future COSS follow-on acquisition or its requirements will occur. Questions related to the COSS follow-on acquisition or its requirements will not be considered or answered. A question and answer (Q&A) period will follow at the end of the "Industry Day" presentation. Oral questions may be answered, but keep in mind that this event is an open exchange with Industry and no answers given will be considered official on the part of the Government. NOTE: A draft Request for Proposal(s) (RFP(s)) will be released on a subsequent date. After the draft RFP(s) is released NASA JSC will hold a Pre-proposal Conference which will allow Industry to ask questions specific to the draft RFP(s). Therefore, Industry will be solicited to submit questions in writing so that the Government may officially respond. Directions: Directions to the NASA JSC Gilruth Recreation Center are as follows: http://gilruth.jsc.nasa.gov/facilities/default.htm >From Bay Area Blvd.: Turn right on Space Center Blvd. and go 2.0 miles. The Gilruth entrance is the second entrance on the right. >From NASA Parkway: Turn left on Space Center Blvd. and go 0.8 mi. The Gilruth entrance is the second entrance on the left. 2) UPDATES AND CORRECTIONS TO THE COSS FOLLOW-ON WEBSITE: The following information has been updated and corrected on the COSS follow-on website: a) The day and date for "Industry Day" has been revised under the "Industry Day" link and the COSS follow-on "schedule" link. b) The COSS follow-on "schedule" link has been updated to correct erroneous dates that were inadvertently placed on the schedule such as, contract award date and contract start date. 3) CURRENT CONTRACT FEATURES: The following date is now corrected: The period of performance: Basic: 4/1/02 - 3/31/04. The COSS follow-on website is at: http://procurement.jsc.nasa.gov/COSS/ Thank you. Documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
