- Description
- The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has a requirement for a services of chainsaw thinning and hand piling on 195 acres of pinyon pine trees within designated treatment unit boundaries. The purpose of this thinning and hand piling is to reduce hazardous fuels in the Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI), and study the ecological and fire behavior effects resulting from the treatment. The period of performance will begin on or about September 19, 2005 and continue to approximately October 10, 2005. This requirement is 100% set-aside for small businesses under NAICS 115310. A pre-proposal site tour has been scheduled for August 25, 2005 at 10:00 a m. Participants meet at: junction of Hwy. 395 and State Route 167, approximately 7 miles north of Lee Vining, California. Offerors intending to attend the site visit tour should contact Dale Johnson (760) 872-5055 at least 48 hours before the scheduled site visit and advise him of the firms name.
