- It is the intent of the Government to award a Firm-Fixed Price contract for maintenance on Medication Carts and replacement of slide out battery tub, charger, and batteries at the VA Long Beach Healthcare System, 5901 East Seventh St., Long Beach, CA 90822. The Contractor shall furnish all necessary and appropriate labor, materials, equipment, and supplies specified herein to perform the maintenance and supplies. The contract period shall be for one (1) year beginning August 15, 2005 through August 14, 2006 with the government having the option to exercise four (4) one year renewal periods through August 14, 2010. The Contractor shall furnish all necessary and appropriate labor, materials, and supplies to successfully perform onsite maintenance support for 26 BCMA Pharmacy Mediation Carts and provide replacement slide out battery tubs, chargers, and batteries (35 Amperes). Experienced staff that is familiar with equipment shall perform the work. The contractor shall only be paid for actual product requested and delivered. Ordering requests will be made by the COTR on as a needed basis. For base year of contract, contractor shall provide new slide out battery tub with 10 Amperes Smart Charger and 35 Amperes Sealed Lead Acid Battery, estimated quantity of twenty-six. Includes shipping and handling and if applicable ? battery disposal fee. Also, includes two battery exchanges per cart per year at no additional cost. For base year and four option years contractor shall cover the onsite maintenance support for Long Beach VA Healthcare System for BCMA pharmacy medication carts. The contractor is to provide next business day support for the BCMA carts located within the Long Beach VA Healthcare System. At the completion of the service the contractor will document the work completed and provide the information to the Contracting Officer?s Technical Representative (COTR). Contractor?s Responsibilities includes: 1. Technician is to arrive onsite no later than 4:00 P.M. PST, next business day from the time call was received. 2. Upon arrival check in with COTR, have service work order signed acknowledging arrival time and date. 3. Locate cart to serviced, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair cart as required. 4. Document repair on service work order and have COTR have the service work order signed acknowledging departure time. 5. Provide twenty-four hours, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year of Help Desk Support. Provide VA Long Beach Healthcare System with appropriate phone numbers and e-mail addresses to contact your Help Desk Support. 6. Provide ongoing staff training on as available basis. 7. Perform preventative maintenance on the BCMA carts quarterly. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 811211. The services will be provided between the hours of 7:30 a.m. ? 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
