- The National Institutes of Health, National Institutes on Aging Gerontology Research Center, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1), as set forth in FAR 6.302-1, a contract with DOME JHMI Parking/Bayview, 5200 Eastern Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21224 to obtain parking services at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institute, Bayview Medical Center (JHBMC),Baltimore, MD. The contractor shall provide: (1)weather shelters, shuttle service; routine preventative maintenance, and emergency repair of lot to ensure that the parking spaces are available for use, and that the parking spaces are available for use, and that the parking lot is compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). (2)15 full-time employee parking spaces located on the Boiler lot, on the JHBMC, 284 full-time and 36 part-time employee parking spaces located on the Northeast lot on the JMBMC, 109 full-time and 15 part-time parking spaces located on the parking lot adjacent to Triad Building on the JHBMC. (3) 20 part-time employee parking spaces located on the Northeast parking lot during the months of June throught August each year to support the summer trainee program and have available monthly at the Institute's request up to 5 full-time and part-time employee parking spaces located on the Northeast parking lot. (4) all handicapped spaces shall have the required signage. (5) keep the parking lot and any related sidewalks clear of snow, ice and debris, and shall paint over with black paint, any painted lines, which are occasionally relocated. (6)ensure that every shuttle driver has a valid commercial driver license and excellent driving record an dall required training certifications and background screening. (7)nameplates clearly visible for the drivers of the shuttles so that customers may provide comments. (8)ensure that all applicable motor shuttle carrier safety inspection regulations shall be adhered to. The period of performance will be for 1 (one) year and 4 (four) options years. DOME JHMI Parking/Bayview is the only know source capable of providing the required parking services. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by submitting written capabilities/specifications to the Contracting Specialist at the address stated above. IF USING A COURIER SERVICE, UPS, FEDERAL EXPRESS, OR EXPRESS MAIL, THE CITY AND ZIP CODE MUST READ, "ROCKVILLE, MD 20852". This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals however all responses received within 15 calendar days from date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
