Description: The intent of this contract is to secure services for timber marking and cruising in both natural and planted stands of conifers. The project is located on the Eldorado National Forest, Amador Ranger District. The work area is approximately 12 miles from Pioneer, Ca. The contractor must be a Registered Professional Forester by the State of California. This project requires cut tree marking (CTM) to designate trees for harvest. The purpose of this project is to reduce surface and ladder fuels to diminish potential fire behavior and to improve stand health. Estimated start work date 9/26/05, contract time 43 days. The solicitation will be uploaded on FedBizOpps August 22, 2005.
