Description

Decontamination Kit, Individual Equipment, M295, Box of 20; NAICS: 325414; NSN: 6850-01-357-8456; FSC: 8465; FSCM: 81361; Performance Purchase Description No: EA-PRF-1754D; Performance Purchase Description: EA-PRF-2166A. This Presolicitation No tice is based on the best and most current information available to date. This information is subject to change and is not binding upon the Government. The Contractor shall provide all labor, material, equipment, supplies, testing, packing, and shipping to manufacture the Decontamination Kit, M295. A brief description of the kit and its application follows: The M295 kit consists of four packet assemblies. A box contains twenty (20) kits for a total of eighty (80) packet assemblies. The packet is desig ned to fit comfortably within a pocket of the battle dress over-garment. Each packet assembly contains a mitt comprised of decontaminating agent, sorbent powder per EA-PRF-2166A (e.g. a mixture of spray-dried alumina-silica and activated carbon) contained within a pad material and backing material. The mitt is worn by either hand and is equipped with a means to secure the mitt to the users hand. In use, sorbent powder from the mitt is allowed to flow freely through the pad material of the mitt. Decontam ination is accomplished through sorption of contamination by both the pad material and by the sorbent powder. For purposes of this notice, interested firms may anticipate a performance period of not more than five years in the form of a requirements type contract. FOB is Destination. Proposed award is Full and Open Competition. This solicitation may incorporate specifications and drawings developed by a Government Technical Engineer and may be viewed via the Internet. Technical questions or clarificat ions shall be submitted to the below Contract Specialist not less than 15 calendar days prior to bid opening/receipt of proposals. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102. Hardcopies will not be provided. V endors may download an electronic copy on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the Internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm. Estimated Solicitation Issuance Date is not earlier than 2004SEP20. CAUTION: This sol icitation, and any subsequent amendments, will be issued electronically. The Government is under no obligation and no longer maintains a bidders mailing list. It is incumbent upon an interested party to periodically access the above Internet address to o btain any issued amendments. Failure to obtain any amendments and respond accordingly by the date and time set as the bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your firms bid or proposal nonresponsive and not considered for any resulting award.
