- The Social Security Administration intends to negotiate solely with Radio Beacon, 120 Eglinton Avenue East, Toronto ON, M4P1E2 Canada, under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), ?Soliciting from a Single Source?, to purchase support services to modify Radio Beacon Warehouse Management Control System (WMCS) software, which is currently installed and in use at SSA headquarters, Baltimore MD. The SSA Office of Publications and Logistics Management is responsible for providing critical logistics support to SSA offices, DDS, and private sector organizations. In order to accomplish this task, SSA currently uses the Radio Beacon Warehouse and Order Management Systems to fulfill customer orders for forms, folders, supplies and pamphlets. The Radio Beacon Supply/warehouse system provides critical logistics support to SSA offices, DDS, and private sector organizations. The purpose of this acquisition is to acquire contractor services in order to modify the current software to increase Agency efficiency in managing inventory, by means of consolidating the Agency Direct Delivery Order Management System (DDOMS) into Agency Warehouse Management System. This will allow Agency customers to go to one system for all orders. This procurement is requesting alterations to Radio Beacon?s Online Supply Ordering System and Inventory Management Module that will enhance the usability and clarity of the front-end. This software code is proprietary. Radio Beacon has no authorized resellers, and is the only authorized provider of this software and services known to the Government. The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed price purchase order. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability to fulfill this requirement. A solicitation is NOT available. Therefore, written and/or verbal requests for copies of a solicitation related to this announcement will not be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
