Description

This is notice of intent to negotiate and award a sole source firm fixed priced purchase order to The Economist Intelligence Unit, 111 West 57TH Street , NY, NY 10019 under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 to renew an annual subscription to Country Reports for the Marquat Memorial Library. This notice is not a request for offers. The anticipated date of award is 10 August 2005. The contractor identified is the only known source for the subject requirement. Responses to this notice will be used to determine if bona fide competition exists. Any such responses must be in writing and include technical and pricing information. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. However, determination to compete or not compete this procurement action is solely the discretion of the Government. All responses must be received not later than 4:00 pm EST on 08 Aug 2005. No extensions will be granted. The Government will not pay for any information submitted. Only electronic submission will be accepted. No telephone responses will be accepted. The point of contact for this requirement is Mr. John E.
