- Description
- Construct an approx. 8,480sf Steel-framed engineered metal building for the Railroad Equipment/Engine Maintenance Shop, with the capability of storing 4-60ft (120-ton) locomotives and simultaneously accommodate locomotive maintenance activities to be located in an area bounded by Currie Road to the east, Hirsch Road to the west, Cold Storage Building(T-1962)/Track 11 to the north and existing rail yard to the south. Building will contain inspection pit, overhead bridge crane, supporting admin and st orage areas. Site work shall include supporting utilities, and new asphalt paving for truck access to the building. Rail service to the facility will come from the east via a connection to a yard track just east of Currie Road. The estimated cost range o f this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Plans and specifications will be available on or about August 25, 2005, and will be provided on compact disk (CD-ROM) and on the web. THE NUMBER OF CD-ROMS WILL BE LIMITED TO ONE (1) PER FIRM. Plans, spe cifications, and plan holders lists will not be provided in a printed hard copy format.
