Description

This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Solicitation number is W9124J-05-T-0124 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This procurement is to be made by full and open to competition. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 337211 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The closing date/time is 19 Aug 2005 at 4:00 PM CDST. Description: The Army Contracting Agency Southern Region, Contracting Center-West, Fort Sam Houston, intends to procure TABLES, Rectangular 24in. X 72in., UNICOR Rhyt hm, MODEL# RO2472, Table Edge M, Base Style A1F, Laminate Color AL (smoke granite), Edge Color W (Warm Gray), Base Finish CH (Chrome), or equal. Minimum salient characteristics tables must meet or exceed: Table surface is 1.25in. thick solid core high de nsity particleboard with .032, or .053 high pressure laminate top surface with a .020in. phenolic backing sheet; Double pedestal folding bases have 14 gauge 1.25in. round steel upright columns and 16 gauge 1.25in. elliptical steel foot tubes; Adjustable gl ides are secured to the foot tubes by threaded inserts. And Chairs, Upholstered Stacking Arm, UNICOR Overture Seating Collection - Matrix series, MODEL# MXFSWAPY, Frame Finish: CH (Chrome), Shell Color: BL (Black), Upholstery 7590 (Celebration Granite), o r equal. Overall Height: 32.5in., Seat Hieght: 18in., Seat size: 17.5in.w x 18in. d, Back size: 16.5in.w x 17in.h; Minimum salient characteristics chairs must meet or exceed: Long-lasting and durable steel construction; injected molded polypropylene se at and back construction; stackable on mobile dolly up to 45 high; nylon floor protection glides are standard; meets or exceed California Fire Code# 117; and ANSI / BIFMA. Offerors are encouraged to offer their existing products that will me et or exceed the salient characteristics included in forgoing description and provide a proposal for evaluation. Evaluation will be by the using activity based on those salient characteristics. Pricing, including necessary manufacturing and delivery time, should be provided on a separate sheet from the offerors proposal and will be considered for those acceptable conforming offers. Award is to be made utilizing Simplified Procedures for Commercial Items and the preferences for FPI (UNICOR) items. Offerors shall include a complete copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items with Offer, or prov ide the certification in (j) (2) regarding completion of the annual representations and certifications electronically via ORCA website at http://orca.bpn.gov with the offer.
