- The US Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration plans to award a single source Cost-reimbursement contract to Ms. Marilyn Jackson-Brame to perform a series of activities designed to support government program management professionals in the Office of Competitive Sourcing, ATO-A, in meeting its current and future challenges in the transition and implementation of FAA's Air Flight Service Station (AFSS) activities to a newly contracted Service Provider. The planned period of performance is not expected to exceed nine months. This notice is NOT a Request for Competitive Proposals. The services provided under this contract entail applying specialized knowledge and in-depth understanding of the AFSS program, SIR requirements, FAA policies and procedures, practices, strategy, and highly technical knowledge of current and proposed systems. The FAA intends to utilize Marilyn Jackson-Brame for a variety of highly specialized acquisition, phase-in and initial transition support activities related to the AFSS contract. Specific Tasks will include, but not be limited to: 1. Training of new employees in the event Lockheed Martin has to enact contingency strategies for hiring the necessary workforce for Day One Transition 2. Certifying new employees in the event Lockheed Martin has to enact contingency strategies for hiring the necessary workforce for Day One Transition. 3. Determining National Weather Service requirements, developing strategies to meet NWS requirements necessary for employees hired for Day One Transition. 4. Providing subject matter expertise in areas related to the operation of flight service stations and the actions necessary for an orderly transition from government performed services to Lockheed Martin performed services. 5. Providing subject matter expertise in areas related to the operation of flight service stations and the actions necessary for the introduction of new consolidated facilities and technology.
