Description

The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Office of the Director (OD), Office of Research Facilities (ORF), Bethesda, Maryland intends to make a single award to a qualified small business for the provision of Emergency Remediation Services. The services required will utilize all necessary trained and qualified personnel, labor, equipment, parts and materials for Emergency Remediation Services following flooding and other potential disasters at the NIH. Services that may be required include: water extraction, carpet cleaning, general cleaning, moving and temporary storage of files and furniture, demolition of damage finishes, to include flooring, ceilings, and wall surfaces, temporary board-up of damaged doors and windows smoke damage remediation mold remediation minor repair and replacement of damaged interior finishes document drying and restoration other remedial services as required by the specific incident The award will be made to the responsible business who submits the most advantageous proposal to the Government. Interested business must (1) be able to mobilized and on site within two hours of notification and (2) maintain an established 24-hour/day emergency call number to provide direct response to incidents ant any time including weekends and holidays. The contract period is expected to be for a 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods. The solicitation will be available on or about August 17, 2005 and will be distributed via Federal Express mailings. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Online Representations and Certifications Applications (ORCA). Please refer to http://orca.bpn.gov/ in order to register. Also, all contractors shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The web-site for registration is www.ccr.gov. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for these services is 562910 and the business size is $12.0 mil. The solicitation will be 100% set-a-side for small business.
