- This solicitation being procured in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. The office of NOAA Southwest Fisheries Science Center (SWFSC), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) located in La Jolla, CA intends to acquire the following items: 1.) quantity 15 each SPOTT 5 PTT TAGS, configured with M1 Batteries, position only and packaged for use on Penguins in Antarctica; 2.) quantity 18 each SPOT 4 PTT Tag Rebattery and 3.) quantity 3 each SPOT 3 PTT Tag Rebattery, for delivery to SWFSC by Sept 1, 2005. This intended acquisition is for supplies for which the government intends to acquire from one source under the authority of 41 USC 235 (c ) (1), Only One Responsible Source. The known source is Wildlife Computers , Redmond, WA. Wildlife Computer Brand has been in use at least five years and additional tags are required. New Tags must be compatible with existing hardware and software, and must also be compatible in order to compare existing data obtained with Wildlife Brand Tags. This is not a request for proposals and there is no solicitation available at this time. The government reserves the right to solicit offers based on receipt of affirmative response to this notice or issue a contract to Wildlife Computers without further notice. Only firms that can provide the exact or equal equipment described herein will be considered. All interested parties must respond to this announcement within fifteen (15) calendar days of its publication.
