- NRCS is seeking bids for award of a fixed-price constuction contract to construct a zoned earthen dam for creation of an eleven acre reservoir in Winn Parish, Louisiana (dam site located approximately 9 miles west of Winnfield, Louisiana). The dam consists of approximately 75,000 cubic yards of earthfill and approximately 16,000 cubic yards of additional earthfill to create a three foot thick clay blanket in the pool area upstream of the dam. Earth materials for the construction of the dam will be taken from the excavation of the auxiliary spillway and on-site borrow areas. Disturbed areas above the pool elevation will be seeded and hydromulched. An 18? diameter steel siphon type principal spillway will be constructed. Work also requires a supplemental water well to be drilled on site. Performance period is 140 calendar days. The IFB (solicitation package) will be issued approximately 15 days from the date of this notice. Price range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. All responsible offers are invited to submit an offer which will be considered by the agency.
