Description
ERFO 2005, FS Rd 2270760, MP 1.5, Design/Build Road Decommissioning. Project consists of surveying, designing and decommissioning (obliteration) 1.4 miles of Road 2270760 and two short unclassified roads. Work items include removing culverts, constructing crossditches, removing selected fills, erosion control, clearing, riprap, revegetation and other associated work. The project is located on the Olympic National Forest, Hood Canal Ranger Districts. Travel north, approximately 22 miles, on Wynoochee Valley Road, from Montesano, to Forest Road 22. Travel on Forest Road 22, for 13.7 miles to Forest Road 2270. Travel north on Forest Road 2270 for 6.1 just passed gate turn left and travel 0.5 miles to Forest Road 2270760. Travel 0.1miles on Forest Road 2270760 to project site (washout). The operating season is from 7/15 ? 10/30. In-stream work, at all three sites, is only permitted between 7/15and 10/15. Project completition date is October 30, 2006. A pre-proposal meeting and site visit will be conducted on Tuesday, September 6, 2005, at 10:00 AM, local time. The meeting will be held at the project site located on Rd 2270760 MP 0.1. If you plan to attend, please contact Mike Riordan at (360) 956-2353, ext. 353, by 3:00 PM, September 2, 2005. If no prospective offeror calls to confirm attendance, the meeting will be cancelled. Payment bond, or tripartite escrow agreement, is required for this project. Davis-Bacon wage rates apply. The proposed contract-type is firm-fixed price. Offers will be evaluated on price, experience, and past performance. Each contract award will be to the offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is the best value to the government. The government estimated value is between $25,000 and $100,000. The solicitation will be available on or about August 15, 2005. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on the part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award.
