Description

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to enter into negotiations with Applied Biosystems, 850 Lincoln Center Drive, Foster City, CA 94404 for a One (1) year service contract for a BioAssurance Plan 2 PM Service Plan for API 3000 LC/MS System (S/N: D9470109). The U.S. EPA believes Applied Biosystems is the only vendor capable of satisfying this requirement. The period of performance is expected to be from September 10, 2005 through September 09, 2006. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 339111 and the Small Business Size Standard is 500 personnel. No request for quotation is available and this notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. All interested, responsible, sources must respond within 15 days of the date of this announcement. Interested vendors shall: 1) include information on the proposed services which clearly supports the requirements outlined above and; 2) provide itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. If no affirmative responses are received within 15 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government an order will be placed with Applied Biosystems.
