- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This procurement is not a small business set-aside; any responsible source may submit an offer. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number M67400-03-T-0164 applies and is issued as a Request for Quote. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-45 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-11. The North American Industry Classification System code is 334417. The business size standard is NTE 5.0 million. The government requires new components/equipments in response to this solicitation. Offerors must identify any used, reconditioned, remanufactured, and recovered government material on t! heir quotes. The vendor shall provide descriptive literature for all equal item(s). If offeror provide ?or equal? item(s) and does not provide descriptive literature by 04 March 2003, the submitted quotes will be considered as non-responsive. The agency need is for: Bead Breaker Aircraft Tire/Wheel Model 667 and 715 QUANTITY: 1 FFP Bead Breaker model 667 is an electric-driven, hydraulic pump which is used on C-130 Aircrafts to remove tires with a maximum distance of 37". It elimates the need to change adapter rings for each tires. MFR PART NR: 667R1100E DELIVERY: Shall be FOB Destination to Defense Distribution San Joaquin Tracy Depot Bldg 30 CCP, 25600 Chrisman Road, Tracy CA 95376. All material awarded under this contract are expected to be delivered within 30 days after the order is placed with the successful offeror. SOLICITATION PROVISIONS: The following provisions apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal (Aug 1999). FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items (Oct 2000). FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items (Jan 1999); the following factor shall be used to evaluate offers: Lowest Price Technically Acceptable. Award will be made on the basis of the lowest evaluated price of proposals meeting or exceeding the acceptability standards for non-cost factors. FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certification ? Commercial items(Apr 2002). FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions ? Commercial Items (Feb 2002).
