Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), Region 5, is planning a solicitation for U-V Water Treatment System Ballast Replacement at the Green Lake National Fish Hatchery, Hancock County, Ellsworth, Maine. The ultimate award will be based on a negotiated procurement as outlined in Part 15 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). The project consists of replacing existing ballasts (two lamps type) for an ultraviolet light water disinfection system, re-wiring light emitting diode indicators showing when the ultraviolet lamps are out and incidental related work. The base offer shall be guaranteed minimum work by replacing 88 magnetic ballasts with new electronic ballasts and replacing 132 magnetic ballasts with new magnetic ballasts. 440 ballasts, beyond the base offer, will be replaced by a combination of magnetic and electronic ballasts, the exact number of each magnetic and electronic ballasts to be installed within one year of contract award. The NAICS is 333319; the size standard is 500 employees. This procurement is set-aside for small business concerns. All responsible sources, based on a thorough past performance review, shall be considered. Issue date will be o/a August 17, 2005. All requests must be submitted in writing to the address above.
