Description
The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has a requirement for research on "Safety Analysis of Interchanges". The project is in three parts which includes a summary on National crash statistics attributed to interchanges from the Final Analysis reporting System (FARS) and the General Estimating System (GES) data records; the development of an analysis framework and preliminary computation tool to quantify the safety effects of interchanges; and to identify gaps in available information, and develop a research plan to fill substantive gaps. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date for this requirement is August 18, 2005.
