Description

Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, material and equipment necessary to replace the sprinkler system in Building 79 and to modify the sprinkler system in the Administration area in Building 2001 at the Defense Distribution Depot Susquehanna (DDSP), New Cumberland, PA. Work in Building 79 will include the removal of an existing 4 inch diameter underground water line, the installation of a new 6 inch diameter underground water line, the installation of a new 2 inch diameter service water line, the replacement of the existing sprinkler system and the installation of waterflow/pressure switches and valve tamper supervisory switches. Work in Building 2001 will be performed in the Administration portion of the building and will include the addition and relocation of sprinkler heads, and the installation of waterflow/pressure switches and valve tamper supervisory switches. All damaged ceiling tiles shall be replaced with new ones to match the existing. All work shall be performed complete and in accordance with Specifications for Replace Sprinkler System ? Building 79 and Sprinkler Modernization ? Building 2001 dated July 2005, Project Number 3491 Drawing Numbers CS-1, C-1, FP-001, FP-101, FP-102, FP-103, FP-104, FP-105, FP-106 (9 sheets) and Project Number 3493 Drawing Numbers CS-1, FP-001, FP-101, FP-102, FP-103 and FP-104 (6 sheets). Upon receipt of the Notice to Proceed, the Contractor shall commence work in Building 2001 and shall complete the entire work in Building 2001 ready for use on November 30, 2005. The Contractor shall commence work in Building 79 on January 8, 2006 and shall complete the entire work ready for use on February 8, 2006. Prior to the start of work in Building 79, the Contractor shall have on site all the necessary material and equipment required to perform the work. This acquisition is unrestricted pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program Act of 1988, Public Law 100-656 (15 U.S.C. 644 note). Contract award will be issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The estimated price range is between $250,000 and $500,000. The tentative date for issuance of solicitation SP3100-05-B-0004 for the above stated requirement is August 17, 2005. The tentative date for the bid opening is September 16, 2005. Access to the solicitation package to include the specifications and drawings will only be made available to bidders via the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website at http://www.eps.gov. Hard copies of solicitation SP3100-05-B-0004 to include specifications and drawings will not be distributed. Bidders are cautioned concerning their responsibility to access the website for any amendments that may be issued under the solicitation. There will be no advance notification of amendment issuance. Bidders are advised to consult the website frequently to check for the issuance of amendments. Amendments may be issued up until the bid opening date and time. Failure to acknowledge amendments may render your bid non-responsive and ineligible for award. To receive awards resulting from solicitations issued after May 31, 1998, your company must be registered in the DoD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Contractor may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by this agency. The Government intends to award one contract as a result of this solicitation. Award will be based on the total lowest priced responsive, responsible bid submitted for all bid items. A bidder must be determined responsible according to the standards of FAR Subpart 9 to be eligible for award. Bidders must submit a bid for all bid items. Failure to do so will result in the bidder being considered non-responsive to the solicitation. Funds are presently available for the work to be performed in Building 79. Work to be performed in Building 2001 is subject to the availability of Fiscal Year 2005 funds. Award of a contract will not be made until funds for Building 2001 are made available to the Contracting Officer.
