Description
Provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation and supervision required to Rebuild Harbor of Refuge North End Light (LLNR 2050), Indian River Inlet South Jetty Light (LLNR 4375), Shark River South Breakwater Light #1 (LLNR 875) and Cape May Inlet East Jetty Light #4 (LLNR 1440) to include: Site Preparation/Demolition: Demolish, remove, and dispose of the existing concrete foundation in its entirety. Reposition foundation in its entirety. Reposition breakwater stones as necessary to provide a base to place the new foundation; Rebar dowels, replace rebar dowels into breakwater rocks in the patterns shown. Drill rocks and insert dowels to the depths indicated. Dowels shall be placed with an epoxy mortar with minimum 4,000-pound pullout strength. Dowels shall be used hold reinforcing steel in position; Ladder Rungs and Foundation Ladder Sections: Fabricate foundation ladder rungs and ladder sections as detailed. Cut, weld and fit steel as required. Place and position ladder rungs and ladder section prior to pouring concrete foundations. Foundation: Construct and place formwork on the breakwater stones. Use grout bags to seal gaps in stones and level the formwork as necessary. Fabricate and place reinforcing steel within the formwork. Tower anchor bolts shall be preset in reinforcing steel lattice. Use circular forms to construct tower pedestals and secure in place until concrete is placed. Anchor bolts shall be kept in alignment with wooden templates secured to the bolts. Pour concrete to form foundation and consolidate/vibrate concrete within the forms to eliminate voids. Pedestals may be poured monolithically with the foundation base. Allow concrete to cure and remove templates and forms. Place breakwater stones around base of the foundation as shown. Tower Fabrication: Fabricate the new towers using the Reference Drawings 5309-D. Fabricate the number of tower sections for each tower height indicated on the construction drawings. All metal fabrication, cutting, and welding shall be included. Cutting and fitting of fiberglass grating shall also be included. Tower Installation: Erect the towers on the foundations as shown. Secure base plates to anchor bolts. Assemble towers and related components. Coordinate the relocation of aids to navigation equipment with ANT Cape May. Also, Demolish Roosevelt Inlet Jetty Light #1R and #2: Demolish and remove Roosevelt Inlet Jetty lights in their entirety. Remove the upper towers. This procurement is estimated between $250,000 and $500,000. The applicable NAICS is 237990 with a size standard of $28.5M. Completion time is 135 DANTP. This project is a small business setaside.
