Questions asked: Q. Contract History A. USZA92-02-D-0001 awarded for 1 base year and 2 Option years 01 July 2002 thru 30 June 2003 Maximum Quantity 2000 EA $216,000.00 01 July 2003 thru 30 June 2004 Maximum Quantity 2000 EA $259,600.00 01 July 2004 thru 30 June 2005 Maximum Quantity 2000 EA $285,560.00 Successful Awardee: Bruce Rendall Highwater Farms PO Box 97 Kipling, NC 27543 Q. Will proposals be accepted by fax or email? A. Yes, either fax or email Q. What types of pneumonia needs to be vaccinated for? A. None Q. If the minimum weight is 50lbs what is the maximum? A. There is no maximum weight limit Q. What desired age, breed? A. JSOMTC will not accept goats that weigh less than 50 lbs; we would prefer a Spanish mix breed, but not required nor is there an age restriction Q. Is castrated goats mandatory or just preferred? A. The goats may be delivered either castrated or intact. Castration is preferred Q. Is North Carolina goats mandatory or can goats come from other states? A. Any state, however they must show no evidence of respiratory, gastrointestinal, cutaneous, musculoskeletal, nervous, metabolic or ophthalmic diseases, and be free of clinical signs of zoonotic diseases. The contractor must adhere to North Carolina State regulations and the regulation of the state of origin. Q. Clarify quarantine for both in and out of state supplied goats? A. The contractor must adhere to North Carolina State regulations and the regulation of the state of origin. All goats will be held at the Contractor for 14 full days prior to delivery to JSOMTC, as described in the SOW. Q. Due to quantity can sale barn goats be supplied?: A. Bidder needs to look at Title 9, Code of Federal Regulations, Ch. 1. Subchapter A – Animal Welfare, Subparts 1, 2, and 3. Q. Do they need to be TB tested or just health papers in order to enter NC? A. Contractor must adhere to North Carolina State regulations Q. Will a 3 year proposal be accepted? A. Yes, as the proposal stated it for 1 Base Year and 2 Option years Q. What are the penalties if something happens and I miss a delivery? A.
