- NASA/KSC has a requirement for 1 ea., Protomat S62; 1 ea. Dust Extraction System, 1 ea. Starter Pack to include: a selection of tools and materials required to begin using the circuit board plotter; 1 ea. RF Starter Pack to include: an assortment of end mills for fabrication of microwave boards; 1 ea. Microscope 60X wide stand with integrated illumination and mil-inch graticule; and 1 ea., S Series Fudicial Recognition Camera. NASA/KSC intends to purchase the items from LPKF Laser and Electronics, 28220 SW Boberg Rd., Wilsonville, OR 97070. Kennedy Space Center currently has an LPKF Board prototyping system, this requirement is to replace obsolete equipment. The existing and the upgraded system requires the use of proprietary design software. No other hardware system will be compatible with the LPKF software. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to Jaime L. Dempsey, email: Jaime.Dempsey@NASA.GOV not later than 2:00p.m. local time on August 5, 2005. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
