- Description
- Work consists of, but is not limited to, furnishing all plant, labor, and materials necessary to perform installation of a steel sheet piling (SSP)encasement of the northern most 300 foot of the existing pier. The existing pier structure is a stone filled timber crib with concrete cap. Work on the north reach will involve encasement of the existing pier in a SSP wall entirely around the pier head and down the west side approximately 120 feet. Work on the south reach of the project, approximately 16 0 feet long, shall consist of installation of an anchored SSP retaining wall. The remaining 20 feet is comprised of a small slip spanned by a pedestrian bridge. The Contractor shall demolish bridge and back fill the slip to provide for a continuous 300 f oot reach of the pier. Work also includes installation of a concrete cap and other related features typical to a commercial pier.
