- Description
- The government will be issuing a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the Noble White WRP Easement Restoration project located in Johnson County, Illinois. This project is located on the eastern edge of Johnson County, Illinois along the Cache River near the Johnson-Union county line. It is approximately 1.75 mi. north of Illinois State Route 146 on Pleasant Grove Road. This project is to enhance and/or create wetland areas by constructing 1 dike and 1 sheet pile in-channel structure on an unnamed tributary to the Cache River. The major items of work for this project are: clearing and grubbing, 2,510 ft. long wetland berm construction 8,400 cy; installation of 2 water control structures w/140 ft. of plastic pipe installation; 4.1 acres of seeding and mulching of the berms, and installation of 2 rock riprap crossings. This RFQ will be issued on a full and open basis and will be available electronically at the Federal Business Opportunities website on or about August 19, 2005. Any changes to the RFQ will be made only at www.fedbizopps.gov. It is the responsibility of the quoter/bidder to check this web address for any posted changes to this solicitation. The Davis Bacon Act will apply. The magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The NACIS code is 237990 and the size standard is $28.5 million. The performance time is 50 calendar days. A limited number of packets will be available at the site showing scheduled for 10:00 am local time, August 22, 2005 at the USDA Service Center, NRCS Office, 201 Springfield Avenue, Anna, Illinois. The Service Center is located south from the stoplight at McDonalds on Illinois Route 146. The phone number for the Service Center is 618-833-5666, ext. 3. After a brief meeting concerning the bidding process and contract requirements, the group will tour the work site. Quotes must be received at the Contracting Office by 9:30 a.m. (Local Time) on August 31, 2005. No public bid opening will be held.
