- Changes posting date to FBO to on or about August 8th, and response date, subject to amendments, to September 8,2005. The purpose of this contract is for pre-commercial thinning of approximately 338 acres of conifer reproduction approximately 32 to 38 years old. The project area is located on Kruzof Island approximately 20 miles northwest of Sitka, Southeast Alaska. No roads connect Kruzof Island with Sitka. There are no docks at or near the project site. An abandoned logging road starts at Mud Bay and continues west to the thinning units. The road is overgrown but remains accessible by ATV. The performance period is 100 days. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps website on or about August 8, 2005 for viewing and printing. Potential offerors are requested to obtain the solicitation from the Internet if at all possible. Alternatively, a hard copy of the solicitation documents may be requested via fax at 907.228.6254. Fax requests should reference solicitation AG-0116-S-05-0032. Telephone requests will not be honored. Offers will be due approximately 30 calendar days after the solicitation issue date. AUTOMATIC NOTIFICATION: By registering to receive notification on posted synopses, you will be automatically notified via email of any changes to the project. To register, select ?Register to Receive Notification? and follow the steps. Follow the same procedure for EACH project. PLAN HOLDERS LISTS: The Interested Vendors List (IVL) has replaced the plan Holders Lists that was previously available with solicitation packages.
