- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard, Maintenance and Logistics Command Atlantic (MLCLANT), Norfolk, VA is procuring SNOW REMOVAL AND SANDING AND SALTING SERVICES to be performed at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, transportation, equipment, materials, supplies and supervision to perform snow removal and sanding and salting services at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and Child Development Center. The work consists of snow or ice clearing mobilization, minor sanding and salting mobilization, ?call back? mobilization for minor plowing and spreading of salt and sand, and emergency snow relocation services. The solicitation will be issued in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Subpart 13.5 -- Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. A firm-fixed price services type contract will be awarded to responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the government, price and past performance considered. The Base Period of performance will be from 01 October 2005 through 30 September 2006 with four one-year option periods, if exercised by the Government, for total contract duration not to exceed 5 years/60 months. This requirement will be issued under small business set aside procedures. The applicable NAICS code is 488490 (Other Support Activities for Road Transportation) with a size standard of $6.0 million. Interested parties must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) as prescribed in FAR Clause 52.232-33. The solicitation, and any subsequent amendments, will be available electronically on the MLCLANT Intranet Web site http://www.uscg.mil/mlclant/fdiv/fdiv.html on or about 02 August 2005 with a closing date for receipt of quotes by 15 August 2005. No paper copies of the solicitation and/or amendments will be distributed. All vendors will be responsible for obtaining the solicitation and any subsequent amendments from that site.
