- Description
- The Social Security Administration requires the services of contractors to provide Secure Confidential Document Destruction Services located in Richmond, California. The contractor shall provide all labor, personnel, equipment, supplies, secured vehicles, materials, supervision, and other related services necessary to provide off-site commercial document destruction services for security waste (administrative papers, classified papers, sensitive documents and white and mixed recycled paper) at the Social Security Administration (SSA), located at 1221 Nevin Avenue, Richmond, California. SSA anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price contract with a twelve (12) month base year period and four (4), successive, one-year options, if exercised, following a 45-calendar day phase-in transition period. All potential contractors and its employees will be required to pass a security background check before beginning performance on an award. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database prior to submission of offer and have completed the Annual Representation and Certifications effective January 2005, per Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.204-8. Competitive pricing will be solicited and accepted. The contract type will be a firm fixed price contract. This acquisition is a set-aside 100 % for Total Small Business concerns. Any responsible small business source may submit an offer, which will be considered by the Agency. Offers received from other than a small business source will be deemed unacceptable and will not be considered. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 561990. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 7389. The size standard for this NAICS code is $6.0 million. This acquisition is determined to be subject to FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The Request for Proposals (RFP) Number is SS09-RFP05-62029 and is scheduled for release on or about August 1, 2005, with proposals due date of August 12, 2005. The solicitation will be available for downloading only from the FedBizOpps website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov . See note 1.
