Description
The Naval Sea Systems Command has a requirement for a base year quantity of four (4) ship sets, one (1) engineering test site, and up to two (2) training sites of Data Acquisition Units (DAUs) and Engine Control Units (ECUs). DAUs are Versa Module Eurocard (VME) based input/output units (along with a processing module) used to interface computers to machinery control and sensors (raw data). ECUs are also VME based input/output units (along with processing), but have specific modules to interface with the CG 47 Class LM 2500 engines. All DAUs and ECUs must conform to the military environmental standards of the CG 47 Class. Each ship set contains fifteen (15) DAUs and four (4) ECUs. The engineering test site will contain six (6) DAUs and two (2) ECUs. Training sites will consist of one (1) DAU and (1) ECU. Each year thereafter, there will be options to buy up to four (4) ship sets for the next four (4) years. Engineering and training sites are one time buys. Eng! ineering services will also be an option on this contract. Engineering services will be an option to support any Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) investigations of the DAUs and ECUs. Services may also include repairs, modifications, and installations as required beyond the scope of the delivery of the ship sets and training/engineering sites. Additionally, there will be a need for On Board Repair Parts (OBRPs), Installation and Checkout (INCO) spares, and technology refresh equipment. The procurement will include unlimited rights in Technical data. This requirement will be procured through full and open competition.
