- This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for the following commercial items, The Contractor shall provide design, render engineer and supply all products and equipment to construct and transport one portable 20? x 20? stand-alone ?Island Style? convention exhibit. The layout of the proposed exhibit must contain one primary center element 12? in height with two vertical interpretive towers 8? in height connected via curved truss assembly that radiate outward approximately 10' in two directions. All vertical assemblies that do not require a specific finish material for the purpose of engineering will be finished with a fabric material suitable for use with loop-hook type fastening systems (Velcro?), and must be black in color. Truss assemblies must be used to minimize wind effects of outside use and add structural stability to overall exhibit. Truss assemblies may be black or metallic in color. If truss assemblies are finished as bare metal they must utilize an industrial grade clear coating to prevent corrosion. The exhibit system will include 2 separate model display areas constructed of the same material approximately 42"-48" in height and topped with laminated countertops to support a display object (not included). The package should also include one custom 10? showroom back wall panel exhibit and 34 additional wall panels to facilitate interchangeability with other Nimlok exhibit structures currently in use. The exhibit will incorporate backlit vinyl graphics on 14 panels and utilize wall-washing floodlights on all other panels specifically, the main tower assy. should be illuminated via 4ea 200-Watt wall washing floodlights and all other panels may incorporate individual spotlights as required. Provide 14 ea 22?x36? graphics printed on transparent vinyl for use with 14 ea. backlit collapsible panel light boxes. All graphic images to be printed on Vinyl will be provided on digital media in .tiff or jpeg format. All components must be compatible with existing Nimlok portable display systems in both functionality and aesthetics. There will be a site visit at SLC-10 Fac. 1657, Space and Missile Technology Center on Monday August 8, 2005 at 10:00 am local time. Due to remote location of the site, contractors shall meet Contracting representative at Fac. 7015 at 09:40 prior to departure. If you are interested in attending please provide me the name of the individual or individuals who will be attending no later than 1:00 pm local time on Thursday August 4, 2005. This synopsis and solicitation is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quote (RFQ) F4DOS15174A100. Submit written offers, oral offers will not be accepted. All firms or individuals responding must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). This procurement is being issued as 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-02 and DFARS Change Notice 20040625. North American Industrial Classification Standard 236220 , Size Standard, $28,500,000, applies to this procurement.
