- NASA/MSFC has a requirement for six (6) each Cryo-Plex 8 Cryopumps: with 10? conflat mating flange w/pumping speeds in air 1500 l/s; six (6) each Cryopump Blanket Heaters: compatible with the Cryo-Plex 8 Cryopump; six (6) each Model 320 Cryopump Temperature Monitors: compatible with the Cryo-Plex 8 Cryopump cable interface, also must contain a high and low set-point; six (6) each Model 125 Helium Compressors: water cooled and consisting of 208 VAC single phase; six (6) each Helium Lines: 15 feet long set of lines compatible with Cryo-Plex 8 Cryopump; six (6) each Pump Drive Cable: 15 feet long and compatible with the Cryopump and Helium Compressor. This equipment must be brand name or equal. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to use the On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above or it may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin= . The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing (e-mail is preferred) no later than 4:00 p.m. central time, August 12, 2005 and must be faxed to Sharon L. Rice/MSFC at (256) 544-6062 or emailed to Sharon.L.Rice-1@nasa.gov. Quotes must include soliciation number, FOB destination to MSFC, proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms, warranty duration (if applicable), taxpayer identification number (TIN), identificaiton of any special commercial terms, and be signed by an authorized company representative. Quotations must be submitted not later than 4:00 p.m. central time, August 15, 2005. It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any). Potential quoters will be responsible for downloading their own copy of this notice, the on-line RFQ and amendments (if any). An ombudsman has been appointed - See NASA Specific Note "B".
