- NASA/ARC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Fire Protection Services including: ?Fire Suppression Services (structural fire fighting) ?Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Services ?Support the Emergency Preparedness Program ?Member and Participant in the Santa Clara County Fire Rescue Mutual Aid Plan ?Emergency Medical Services ?Hazardous Materials Response Services ?Technical Rescue Services (high angle, trench and confined space) ?Training (maintain minimum technical certifications), skills and qualifications ?Fire Prevention/Pre-Fire-Planning/Public Education This procurement will be conducted utilizing full and open competition. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 561990 and $6.0m, respectively. The anticipated release date of RFP NNA21630R is on or about September 2005 with an anticipated proposal due date of on or about October 2005. A pre-solicitation site visit/conference will be held prior to the release of the final RFP. Interested parties are encouraged to attend however attendance is not mandatory. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for further information regarding this procurement. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/ARC Business Opportunities page is http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=21 Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
