Description
A market survey is being conducted to determine if there are adequate HUBZone; 8(a); and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses (SDVOSB) qualified to perform the proposed contract. The proposed action will for the construction of a new 600-member Army Reserve Center, approximately 67,000 sf, Organizational Maintenance Shop (OMS)/Area Maintenance Support Activity (AMSA) facility, approximately 18,000 sf and an Unheated Storage Building along with support facilities at Kukowski U. S. Army Reserve Ce nter, Greenville, SC. Project will include the demolition of existing facilities in order to allow AT/FP compliant facilities to be constructed. The project is planned for mid-September 2005 advertisement with an approximate award schedule of mid-Decembe r 2005. The contract duration is estimated at 540 days, the NAICS Code is 236220 and the estimated construction cost range is $10,000,000 to $25,000,000. All interested small business-types identified above must respond to this notification in writing (b y mail only) no later than August 22, 2005; 4:30 p.m. Louisville Local Time. Responses should include: 1) identification of the companys small business size (HUBZone; 8(a) or SDVOSB); 2) past experience which describes completed renovation or new constr uction projects that are similar in size, scope and estimated cost range to this project; 3) capability of obtaining performance and payment bonds for a project within the cost range of this project; and 4) a statement verifying the contractor will perform at least 15% of the work and how it will be accomplished. NOTE: If a sufficient number of qualified HUBZone; 8(a) or SDVOSB firms do not respond to this market survey by the date and time indicated above, the planned contract action will be converted to full and open competition and will be advertised and awarded as such.
