- Description
- Eglin AFB, FL has a requirement to Replace Above Ground Storage Tanks, Eglin AFB FL. The NAICS code for this requirement is 237120. The acquisition is set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. This is a Performance Price Trade Off acquisition and award will be made based upon the Best Value to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.3. The Government reserves the right to award the contract to other than the lowest proposed price. All responsible sources may submit an offer that shall be considered by the agency. This project includes, but not limited to, furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials and performing all operations in connection with construction of Replace Above Ground Storage Tanks, Eglin AFB FL to include the following: remove 18 above ground diesel fuel storage tanks (ranging in size from 100 gallon to 500 gallon) and replace them with 17 new double walled above ground storage tanks (ranging in size from 120 gallon to 500 gallon) to serve existing emergency generators and fire pumps. Also, in general the work will consist of removing 18 above ground diesel fuel tanks, transporting the tanks to another location on the base, cleaning and cutting up the tanks, returning the site to its original condition, and complying with all Federal and State tank closure assessment requirements including reports and notifications. Also install new piping, both double wall underground and single wall above ground to connect the new tanks to the existing emergency generator systems and existing fire pumps. A turn-key system at each location is to be provided and turned over to the Government at the completion of the project. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all labor, materials, and equipment complete and in accordance with the specifications and drawings. Performance period is 90 calendar days. Estimated dollar range is between $100,000 and $250,000. This is a paperless acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available on the Federal Government?s Electronic Posting System (www.eps.gov) on or about 12 August 2005. The ESTIMATED PRORPOSAL DUE DATE is 12 SEPTEMBER 2005. No response to this notice is necessary and no Source List will be maintained. Prospective contractors must be registered in the DOD Central Contractor?s Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a Government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the CCR database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS Number. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after closing date, with no obligation to the offeror by the Government.
