- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs intends this procurement as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Concern set-aside. The contract period will be for one year and four one year option periods. Estimated annual quantities are for VA only,and are based on historical usage. Scalpels Disposable line items required and estimated annual quantities are: Blade Size 10, 56,661 each; Blade Size 11, 62,337 each; Blade Size 12, 4,303 each; Blade Size 15, 106,974 each; Blade Size 20, 3,200 each. Product specifications: Stainless steel blade with protective cover,Sterile, Disposable, Suitable for minor surgical incisions, Blade cutting edge shall be uniform, well defined and sharp. Note- the disposable scalpel blades come preattached to disposable handles- this is not a solicitation for just the disposable blades. The contract items will be distributed through delivery orders to VA facilities. If offeror is not a manufacturer, a signed agreement between the offeror and maufacturer must be submitted with proposal, and remain in effect for the duration of the contract including option years. If the SDVOSBC is not a small manufacturer, it must furnish in the performance of this contract, the product of a small manufacturer or producer. The end product furnished must be manufactured or produced in the United States or its outlying areas. OFFERS ARE NOT BEING SOLICITED AT THIS TIME. The Request for Proposals solicitation will be available for downloading, on or about the issue date of 8/12/2005 from the VA Office of Acquisition and Materiel Management (OA&MM) internet website at http://www.va.gov/oamm/busopp/sols.htm. Offers on 797-NC-05-0042 will be due by 4:00 P.M. CST on 9/16/2005. Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Concerns representatives are invited to provide comments concerning this procurement.
