- Fire Protection/Life Safety Upgrade Airport Traffic Control Tower and Base Building Albuquerque International Airport Albuquerque, NM The work consist of but is not limited to: Installation and testing of new fire detection/alarm system; demolition of the existing fire alarm system; installation of new fire-rated access doors, partitions and barriers; seal existing and/or newly made penetrations; application of spray-on fireproofing materials or intumescent paint to structural steel; training for personnel on the new system and installation of louvers, dampers, fire doors and related hardware. The work shall be installed in accordance with the plans and specifications. The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment and services to perform the work. THERE WILL BE A MANDATORY PRE-OFFER CONFERENCE/SITE VISIT. DATE WILL BE ESTABLISHED BY CONTRACTING OFFICER. The NAICS code is 236220 ($28.5M) - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. ESTIMATED BID RANGE: $100,000 - $250,000. THIS PROJECT IS A TOTAL SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS. THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS WILL BE FURNISHED TO GENERAL CONTRACTORS ONLY. General contractors must provide the following information; company's name, address, phone number, fax number, point of contact and complete the attached two documents, (DOCUMENT SECURITY NOTICE TO PROSPECTIVE OFFERORS AND BUSINESS DECLARATION). NOTE: Document Security Notice to Prospective Offers must submit the information required by paragraph 1, items a, b and c. (Page 2) General contractors who are interested in providing an offer on this project must submit the above-required information via regular mail, over night mail, hand delivered, FAX (817-222-5975) or e-mail to laura.r-ctr.wair@faa.gov. Requests must be received in this office not later than 4:00 PM Local Time, August 8, 2005. Any request received after this date and time will not be honored.
