- The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is soliciting proposals in accordance with the Simplified Acquisitions Procedures in Part 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). The HRSA expects to make multiple awards from this solicitation. Under authority of SEC.502[42 U.S.C. 702] (a)(1) COMPETITION IS LIMITED PUBLIC OR NONPROFIT INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER LEARNING AND PUBLIC OR NONPROFIT PRIVATE AGENCIES ENGAGED IN RESEARCH OR PROGRAMS IN MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH OR PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL HEALTH CARE NEEDS FOR RESEARCH PROJECTS RELATING TO MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH SERVICES OR SERVICES FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL HEALTH CARE NEEDS WHICH SHOW PROMISE OF SUBSTANTIAL CONTRIBUTION TO THE ADVANCEMENT THEREOF.? INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER LEARNING AND PUBLIC OR NONPROFIT PRIVATE AGENCIES ENGAGED IN RESEARCH OR PROGRAMS IN MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH. The purpose of the procurement is to collect and analyze state and local data, summarize the implications and recommendations for future state/local MCH policy/program development; and to train State and local MCH officials in the use of multi-level modeling in the statistical analysis of preterm birth or low birth weight data available in the public domain. The period of performance is one year. A Solicitation will be issued electronically and will be available for downloading from this site on or about August 8, 2005. The due date for questions is August 15, 2005, a 2:00 PM and must be submitted in writing by e-mail to mskinner@hrsa.gov (Cite solicitation 05-S240-0279mjs). The due date for proposals is September 6, 2005 at 2:00 PM ET. Telephone requests will NOT be honored.
