- This is for informational purposes only. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to issue a Purchase order to a qualified vendor to develop, produce, design and provide 5 A Day Coordinators with a tool kit containing a variety of educational materials they can use to promote and train on increasing fruit and vegetable consumption in a variety of community settings. The purpose of this project is to provide programmatic support for fifty- six 5 A Day Coordinators. Providing them with a toolkit containing a variety of quality 5 A Day educational components that meet program requirements would facilitate and enhance program effectiveness. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All vendors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to award of a Federal contract. The preferred method for completing registration is via the World Wide Web at http://www.ccr.gov/. A handbook and other information are available at the site, including information on how to obtain a DUNS number, which is required to begin the registration process. This procurement will be processed under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. The government will consider all proposals received by 8:30 AM, EST, August 5, 2005. The proposal shall be clearly marked with the RFQ Number 2005-Q-02290. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Inquiries will only be accepted by email to dreedpenix@cdc.gov.
