Description

The US Coast Guard intends to award a Sole Source purchase order to Marine Systems Inc., Chesapeake, VA under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) - Soliciting from a Single Source, for Spare Parts for a 180 Ft. Balsam Seagoing Buoy Tender. (Forward requests for parts list to the email address provided below and reference the solicitation number). Award will be made on a sole source basis to provide all necessary parts to provide continuous operations of the vessel. The Coast Guard intends to award a sole-source purchase order to Marine Systems, Inc., as the only vendor who maintains the parts in stock and can deliver the items within 40-60 days after receipt of order. Based on the aforementioned reason, Marine Systems Inc. is the only source that can satisfy this requirement. A fixed price purchase order will be issued on or about August 8, 2005. All supplies to be delivered to Guard Ship America, Laurel, MD. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement, in writing, no later than 12:00 PM August 4, 2005. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
