Description
The Space and Terrestrial Communications Directorate of Ft. Monmouth, NJ plans to issue a solicitation for the design and development of a Type 1, NSA certifiable, high speed embeddable cryptographic chipset or module that will be used in future Tri- Services multi-band, multi-mode, high capacity communications terminals. The module must have the following capabilities: " High-speed (aggregate up to 2 Gbps  Threshold / 10 Gbps - Objective) and embeddable " Multi-band, multi-mode, multiple security levels with capability to run various modes/waveforms simultaneously with varying security levels and data rates for each waveform " Net-centric remote monitor, control " Compatibility with the most current version secure NSA HAIPE available at contract award " SCA v3.0 (or most current version available at contract award) compliant, programmable and use loadable cryptographic algorithms to supporting multiple mission requirements The Government is contemplating the award of a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) type contract. The period of performance is anticipated to be 36-42 months. The solicitation is planned to be released to industry in the November 2005 timeframe with proposals due within approximately 3 weeks. These dates are preliminary and specific dates will be included with the solicitation. The Government anticipates a cont ract award on or about 2nd Qtr FY06. All replies should be submitted not later than 2:00 P.M. EST, 12 August 2005. The Points of Contact are listed below for interest in this sources sought.
