PRON: AX5C0589AX and AX5C0676AX; NSN: 1615-01-205-3921;P/N: 234R2088-1, Noun: Propeller Shaft, Rot, Quantity: Min: 54/Max: 600. This requirement is a 5 Year Indef inite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), applicable to the CH-47 Cargo Helicopter, with deliveries to New Cumberland, PA 17070-5001. This item is restricted to Fenn Manufacturing Cage: 82001 and Lord Corp Cage: 30061. This part requires engineering source approval by design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design, capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source (s) require acquisition of t he part from the approved source (s). The approved source (s) require acquisition of the part from the approved sources (s). The approved source (s) retains the data rights, manufacturing knowledge, or technical data that are not economically available to the government and the data or knowledge essential to maintaining the quality of the part. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design control activitys procedures, as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The qual ification procedures must be approved by the Government engineering activity having jurisdiction over the part in the intended application. This is a Critical Safety Item. A Contractor First Article is required. Production Lead-time is 54 each, 239 DACA. Firms that can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations by accessing the website www.redstone.army.mil/cmo/ and looking und er CAPSAR and Policy Relating to Source Approval Request (SAR) for Aviation requirements. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release of solicitation; however, solicitation will not close prior to the closing date stated above. Foreign firms are reminded that all requests for solicitation must be processed through their respective embassies. Adequate technical data is not available for this acquisition. All offerors must meet prequalification requ irements in order to be eligible for award. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the Agency. NOTES: 22, 23 and 26.
