- Anniston Army Depot (ANAD) is seeking Small Business Administration 8(a) certified companies with the capability to provide all labor, tools, and personal protective clothing and equipment required in the performance of industrial parts/combat vehicl e cleaning services at ANAD. ANAD supports a multi-mission industrial base, recognized for heavy combat vehicle overhaul. Duties will include the following but are not limited to: container cleaning, subassembly cleaning, component steam cleaning, and combat vehicle cleaning utilizing machine or cabinet type abrasive or vapor blasting equipment. Contractor personnel shall receive a variety of parts and assemblies requiring chemical cleaning from disassembly lines. Items consist of various metals such as iron, steel, aluminum, bronze, copper, brass and other alloys. Contractor personnel shall operate steam cleaning equipment, mix cleaning agents, clean assemblies, subassemblies, engine containers, hulls, turrets and artillery of excess grease, oil, dirt and other foreign substances. Vehicles shall be cleaned inside and out. Contractor shall provide material handling support for all Contractor-operated cleaning operations. Contractor shall be required at times to operate combat vehicles to move from location to location. This work is complex and is an integral part of the production of combat vehicles at ANAD. Work is performed in an extremely fast paced environment. Safety and environmental regulations apply and are strictly enforced. Applicable NAISC Code is 561210. The size standard is $20 Million. This proposed contract will be for a Base and four (4) one-year options.
